The office of international affairs (OIA) invited the President(楊字雄會長), Vice President(李樂順副會長) and alumnus (胡靜怡校友、鄭雪娜校友) from the federation of alumni associations of Taiwan universities, Malaysia (NTUA alumni association) to participate in the online conference on January 6th- for the discussion of current status of art higher education in Malaysia, which shows NTUA’s ambition on Malaysian students. Firstly, President Yang and Vice President Lee pointed out the professional art training at NTUA is brilliant undoubtedly. They suggested OIA to promote our brand to Chinese high schools which are located in modern cultural creative industry areas in Malaysia, to provide the fully English courses for international students, and to cooperate the art competition with the federation. Which would increase the visibility of NTUA and strengthen international art education in Taiwan. Vice President Lee also showed the trends of Malaysia Chinese high schools, the consideration and the intentions of study abroad from Malaysian students, also the expectation from their parents. On the other hand, we analyzed the program from the Malaysian students at NTUA in the past four years and sorted out a trend of popular and potential departments. OIA indicated although the increasing difficulties of recent international admission and serious influence of COVID pandemics, NTUA still makes effort to spread the international art education effect. Therefore, OIA organized the conversation to get the alumni power together, as well as sharing both of our opinions to find a direction of admission strategies in the post-pandemics. At last, we are looking forward to discussing further collaboration afterwards.
