Visit from Hanyang University to NTUA: Exploring Academic Collaboration and Exchange Programs
Representatives from the International Office of our sister university, Hanyang University ERICA Campus in South Korea, including Mr. Dong-Il Kim, the International Office Director, and Ms. Soo-Yeong Nee, visited the NTUA and were received by the Dean of International Affairs, Prof. Dr. Yu-Ling Chao. Since the signing of a cooperation agreement in 2016, the two universities have maintained close and fruitful exchanges, with a total of 20 students participating in exchange programs.
Founded in 1939, Hanyang University has two campuses located in Seoul, the capital city, and Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, known as the ERICA Campus. It is a renowned private comprehensive university in South Korea, boasting the reputation of the MIT of Korea. In the 2023 Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings, Hanyang University is ranked between 401st and 500th, and it holds the 57th position in the QS Asian University Rankings. In the same year, it is ranked 164th in the QS World University Rankings.
The primary purpose of this visit was to discuss exchange student programs and summer school collaborations between the two institutions. Both universities share overlapping expertise in the fields of media, music, and performing arts, and this meeting further strengthened their academic cooperation.
Following the conclusion of the meeting, the guests had the opportunity to visit the teaching facilities and the NTUA Our Museum to gain a deeper understanding of the rich artistic and cultural heritage of our institution. Both parties look forward to deepening collaboration in academic research and student exchange, fostering greater international exchange and cooperation between the two universities.
